Our Rugged Twill Log Carrier embodies the philosophy that’s guided Filson for 125 years: Manufacture uncompromising products using the best available materials and construction. Products that withstand the rigors of daily use for years on end, that are handed down rather than tossed out. Introduced more than two decades ago, this traditional tote bag remains a testament to the idea that if a thing is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.
Rather than waxed canvas, Rugged Twill was chosen for its exceptional abrasion resistance and tear strength. This industrial-strength fabric comes from Britain’s oldest, most storied mills, and is heavily waxed for water resistance and added durability. The Bridle Leather used the handles is strong and durable enough for horse tack. It’s been slowly vegetable-tanned over several weeks in natural plant-based solutions that transform top-grade cowhides into sturdy, supple, and lustrous leather that provides decades of service.
Construction details were carefully considered, even those that are not obvious, such as the Bridle Leather anchor points for the handles that are rivet for greater strength. Our Log Carrier has been tested to carry more than 1,400 pounds with no signs of stress.

Returns
If you need to return an item that you have purchased online, you can return the item at any of our locations in-person.
- If you would like to return the item online, simply visit the order page through your account or by clicking view order on the confirmation email
- Items for return must be unworn and still have the tags attached
- Once we receive your returned item our team will look over the item and make sure it clears inspection and a refund will be processed within a week of receiving it. Refunds take 5-10 business days to appear back onto your original form of payment.
- Return labels will be provided for a flat rate of $15 off of your return
Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an item that you have purchased online, you can exchange the item at any of our locations in-person.
- So if you would like to exchange an item please reach out to our customer service email to request the item you would like.
- The customer service team will create an exchange for you to begin the return of the original item
- Once the team receives the return the exchange item will be shipped.
- Return labels will be provided for a flat rate of $15

Can I make changes to my order after it’s been placed?
We do everything we can to fulfill orders quickly and unfortunately cannot make updates after an order has been placed. These changes include removing or adding products and/or changing the delivery address.
