Tin Cloth has been a staple Filson fabric for durable weather protection in the forests of the Pacific Northwest for more than a century. This Tin Cloth PrimaLoft® Vest combines that traditional ruggedness with PrimaLoft®’s class-leading lightweight insulation.
The Tin Cloth shell fabric is a tightly woven 100% cotton waxed canvas that’s been treated with liquefied wax under high heat and pressure. This forces the wax into the core of each cotton fiber, for lasting water resistance. The fabric’s tight weave makes it exceptionally abrasion-resistant. It also makes it difficult for any punctures to develop into tears. Our oil finish Tin Cloth can be rewaxed as often as needed to maintain water-resistance for decades of reliable service.
PrimaLoft® is a lightweight synthetic insulation engineered to mimic the heat-trapping ability of goose down, with the benefit of continuing to insulate even when wet. The 100g PrimaLoft® Gold used in this vest has been tested to retain 98% of its warmth in soaking conditions. With zippers securing the fleece-lined hand and single chest pockets, your essentials will remain safe.

- Material: 14-oz. 100% cotton oil finish Tin Cloth + 100g PrimaLoft® Gold + polyester lining + polyester fleece
- Care: Do not wash or dry clean – brush or wipe clean with a damp rag. Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance. To prevent the transfer of oils, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact between Filson oil finish goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.

Returns
If you need to return an item that you have purchased online, you can return the item at any of our locations in-person.
- If you would like to return the item online, simply visit the order page through your account or by clicking view order on the confirmation email
- Items for return must be unworn and still have the tags attached
- Once we receive your returned item our team will look over the item and make sure it clears inspection and a refund will be processed within a week of receiving it. Refunds take 5-10 business days to appear back onto your original form of payment.
- Return labels will be provided for a flat rate of $15 off of your return
Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an item that you have purchased online, you can exchange the item at any of our locations in-person.
- So if you would like to exchange an item please reach out to our customer service email to request the item you would like.
- The customer service team will create an exchange for you to begin the return of the original item
- Once the team receives the return the exchange item will be shipped.
- Return labels will be provided for a flat rate of $15

Can I make changes to my order after it’s been placed?
We do everything we can to fulfill orders quickly and unfortunately cannot make updates after an order has been placed. These changes include removing or adding products and/or changing the delivery address.
