One of the most versatile bags in out Rugged Twill collection, our classic tote has seen service on travels, the range, and whenever there’s a need to for a straightforward grab-and-go bag. Rather than waxed canvas, Rugged Twill was chosen for its exceptional abrasion resistance. This industrial-strength fabric comes from Britain’s oldest, most storied mills, and is lightly waxed to keep valuables dry and protected from the elements. The Bridle Leather for the shoulder strap, grab handle and trim is strong and durable enough for horse tack. It’s been slowly vegetable-tanned over several weeks in natural plant-based solutions that transform top-grade cowhides into sturdy, supple, and lustrous leather that molds to the shape of your hand over decades of use. The handles are long enough to be useful for hand or shoulder carry.

Construction details were carefully considered for this versatile tote, even those that are not obvious, such as the Tin Cloth binding on interior seams and the sand-cast solid brass hardware that’s custom debossed for Filson. The base is double-layer reinforced for durability, water resistance, and structure that aids in loading. Stow pockets are located on all four sides.
